Role Summary
We are seeking a Principal Project Senior Director to lead cost, schedule, and risk governance for large‑scale data center programs across North America and EMEA. This role is built for a highly analytical, detail‑driven leader who can bring structure, predictability, and financial discipline to complex, multi‑region capital projects. You will partner closely with construction, engineering, finance, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered with accuracy, transparency, and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project controls strategy for NA/EMEA data center programs, ensuring consistent standards across cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, aligning design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and deployment milestones.
- Lead cost planning and budget governance, including estimates, cash flow modeling, change management, and variance analysis.
- Establish risk frameworks that identify, quantify, and mitigate schedule and cost exposure across multiple sites and regions.
- Drive monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, delivering clear, executive‑level insights on performance, trends, and corrective actions.
- Partner with regional delivery teams to ensure project controls data is accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Oversee contractor and vendor controls compliance, ensuring alignment with program standards and contractual requirements.
- Implement scalable project controls systems and tools, enabling repeatable execution across global portfolios.
- Support long‑lead procurement planning, tracking commitments, lead times, and impacts to critical path.
- Act as a trusted advisor to program leadership, providing scenario modeling, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in project controls for large‑scale capital projects, ideally within data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or industrial infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in cost engineering, scheduling (Primavera P6 or equivalent), forecasting, and earned value management.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑region portfolios with diverse regulatory, logistical, and market conditions.
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing, procurement cycles, and risk drivers in hyperscale environments.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including construction, engineering, finance, supply chain, and executive leadership.
- A disciplined, detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence.
Who You Are
You’re the person who keeps the entire program grounded in reality. You bring clarity to complexity, discipline to execution, and confidence to leadership. You thrive in environments where precision matters, timelines are tight, and the stakes are high. You enjoy partnering with teams across regions and functions to ensure projects stay on track—and you take pride in building systems that scale.
