The Role
Legora is building toward a future where AI agents don't just answer questions — they navigate the company and do work. Find the right policy. Identify the owner. Take the next action. Flag a contradiction. Close the loop.
That future has one prerequisite: a clean, governed, machine-readable substrate of company knowledge for the agents to read from. Today we don't have it. Search returns conflicting answers. Our internal AI helpdesk is blocked waiting on a credible knowledge base. The blocker isn't the model. The blocker is what the model reads from.
This role builds the substrate.
As Senior Operations Manager – AI & Knowledge, you will own the knowledge layer that every AI agent at Legora depends on — and every employee too. You'll design the taxonomy, govern the sources of truth, clean up what exists today, and ship the automation layer that keeps it clean without manual effort. You're not maintaining a wiki. You're building the corpus that turns our AI-first ambition into something real — and, in a legal-tech company, doing it with the discipline that ensures client confidentiality is never compromised.
This is a senior individual contributor role, sitting inside Operations and reporting to the VP of Operations. You'll have exec sponsorship and a mandate that runs across every function — partnering closely with IT, People, Finance, Security, and AI/Engineering. We're scaling from a few hundred people to several thousand over the coming years.
What You'll Do
Design the system. Own Legora's knowledge taxonomy and the system-of-record model — what lives in Notion, Drive, the HR system, the CRM, and the data warehouse — and make every function map cleanly into it
Clean up what exists. Drive the Notion workspace cleanup end to end: teamspaces, ownership, templates, permissions, naming, lifecycle
Make it self-healing. Ship automations for stale-content detection, owner routing, contradiction flagging, and new-space request workflows — so the substrate stays clean without constant human effort
Unblock the agents. Write the access and governance requirements that AI/Engineering needs to make our internal agents work against a certified corpus, starting with the helpdesk agent
Own the Day 1 experience. Build the new joiner knowledge journey so every Day 1 answer is findable without asking a human
Build a AI first company. Build internal agents that navigate the company, take actions, and close loops
Who You Are
6–10 years in operations, strategy, consulting, or a chief-of-staff role at a fast-growing company
Deeply structured thinker — you design systems, not just processes
Comfortable saying no across function lines and holding the line on governance when it's inconvenient
Hands-on with the tools: Notion admin, no-code automation, basic SQL or scripting — you'll write the requirements, but you should also be able to prototype them
Genuinely excited about AI and what a clean knowledge substrate unlocks — you understand why the substrate matters, not just the retrieval layer on top
Bias for shipping — you don't wait for perfect to be useful
