Xaira Therapeutics is an AI-driven drug discovery company building a platform that spans machine learning research, large-scale biological data generation, and therapeutic development across multiple modalities. It advances protein and antibody design models including RFdiffusion and RFantibody, developed in the lab of co-founder David Baker at the University of Washington Institute for Protein Design. Jointly incubated by ARCH Venture Partners and Foresite Labs, Xaira is led by founding CEO Marc Tessier-Lavigne (former Genentech chief scientific officer and former Stanford president), with co-founder and CTO Hetu Kamisetty (formerly Meta AI). Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, the company launched publicly in April 2024 with more than $1 billion in committed capital, the largest initial financing in ARCH's history.
