Founded in 2023 by former DeepMind and Meta researchers, Mistral has rapidly become Europe's leading frontier AI lab, offering models optimised for enterprise deployment both on-premises and in the cloud. In September 2025, Mistral raised a EUR 1.7 billion Series C led by ASML at an approximately EUR 11.7 billion post-money valuation.
