Founded in 2020 by Mike Ng and Nikhil Buduma, the company is headquartered in San Francisco. Customers include Cleveland Clinic, UCSF Health, Houston Methodist, and Memorial Hermann. Ambience raised a $243M Series C in July 2025 co-led by Oak HC/FT and Andreessen Horowitz at a $1.25B valuation, with participation from the OpenAI Startup Fund, Kleiner Perkins, and Optum Ventures, bringing total funding to roughly $313M.
