About the role
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About This Role:
We’re seeking a Senior API Integration Engineer to serve as a strategic technical partner driving enterprise-wide digital transformation through intelligent automation and scalable system integrations. This role will lead the design and delivery of mission-critical integrations across our People Tech ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Workday HCM, while setting integration standards, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with business leaders to modernize workflows at scale.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Architecting and building enterprise-grade integrations using the Workato ONE platform to enable intelligent workflow automation
Designing, developing, and maintaining deep API integrations across Workday HCM and the broader People Tech stack (payroll, ATS, LMS, compensation, benefits, performance, analytics)
Leveraging AI-powered automation within Workato to improve efficiency, resiliency, and predictive process optimization
Establishing reusable integration architecture patterns, frameworks, and governance standards that scale across both human-led and automated workflows
Partnering with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, lead discovery sessions, assess ROI, and translate complex needs into scalable technical solutions
Leading integration initiatives end-to-end, from concept through deployment, including sprint execution, technical reviews, and delivery accountability
Providing senior-level escalation support, ensuring reliability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for critical integrations
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
7+ years of experience as an API Developer or Integration Engineer in enterprise environments
3+ years of hands-on production experience with Workato, ideally with Workato ONE
Deep expertise building and operating complex Workato recipes, including error handling, monitoring, batch processing, custom connectors, SDK development, and API collections
Interest in and exposure to AI-assisted development workflows and intelligent automation — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be excited about where integration engineering is heading
Collaborating with internal software engineering teams to ensure integration patterns and API access are available for custom-built internal tools and automations
Proven experience integrating Workday HCM (Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Time, Absence, Benefits)
Strong background integrating People Tech platforms across payroll, ATS, LMS, compensation, performance, and benefits systems
Expert knowledge of enterprise integration best practices, EAI/SOA patterns, and iPaaS architectures
Proficiency with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, SAML, SOAP, RBAC, and API security best practices
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira/JSM, Confluence, and CI/CD workflows
Strong understanding of HR data models, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), and secure handling of sensitive PII

Experience with additional iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica)
